As you have previously read while perusing our web and found yourself delighted in your continued learning about us…Wiltse’s became the 3rd licensed brew pub in the State of Michigan on December 2, 1994.

Master Brewer, Dean Wiltse, introduced craft brewing to Northeast Michigan four flagship brews and a constantly rotating tap that exemplifies and sometimes redefines many traditional and newly discovered styles of beer. Paul Bunyan Ale and Blue Ox Stout fittingly represents the Wiltse Motto;  “Where” the Legend Begins”

Wiltse’s Premium Lager  
A light bodied Pilsner Lager brewed from the finest two row barley malt and delicately hopped with imported Saaz hops for a flowery aroma.

Wiltse’s Oscoda Rare
Oscoda Rare is a specialty brew that changes with the season or perhaps at the whim of the Brew Master. It may be a Belgian Triple Ale today or an Oktoberfest beer tomorrow. This beer is produced in very small quantities, so be sure to enjoy it… it may be the only time you get to taste this beer.

Wiltse’s Old AuSable Weizenbier  
Combines the substitution of wheat malt for half of the barley malts, and a special strain of top fermenting yeast, giving this brew a slightly fruity overtone suggesting cloves and banana.

Wiltse’s Blue Ox Stout  
A rich full-bodied “Hybrid Stout” that balances the astringency of roasted barley with a hint of chocolate sweetness, typical of a Porter.

Wiltse’s Paul Bunyan Ale  
A big, malty brew made primarily from two row barley malts and a touch of caramel malt. This malty body is properly balanced with the skillful use of Cascade and Northern Brewer Hops.
